Russell Sitrit-Leibovich, originally from Montreal, Canada, recently made aliyah to Herzliyah, Israel, where he is completing his law studies at the Interdisciplinary Center. He holds a bachelors degree in political science and Middle Eastern studies from McGill University in Montreal. Russell was heavily involved in pro-Israel activism at his alma matter and was a regular journalist for the Prince Arthur Herald, Canada’s leading conservative student journal. His editorials also appeared in the McGill Daily as well as other forums. Russell spent a summer in Jerusalem working with Israel Behind the News and the Center for Near East Policy Research, investigating Western funding for UNRWA and its links to terror and anti-Israel incitement. He has also worked with “Keep Jerusalem”, an NGO dedicated to protecting Jerusalem’s united and undivided status under Israeli sovereignty.
